Due to the overwhelming number of players each year who attend Team Boca Tryouts (1,000+), the Boys and Girls programs will offer multiple tryout dates. This is designed to give all players the benefit and opportunity to show their skills over many sessions. Please note, Team Boca will be implementing a “Rolling Elimination/Cut” process – at any time after the first day of tryouts, a player may be notified that they will not be selected to Team Boca and are no longer required to attend any further tryout dates.

At tryouts, each player will be issued an ID # decal which will be used by our coaching staff to identify the player while participating in the tryouts. The ID # decal is to be worn on the player’s shirt – front center chest or pant leg front. The player ID # decal will be issued only if the player has completed the entire registration process and paid the one-time $25 tryout registration fee.

For orderly tryouts, we ask that all parents remain off the fields (designated tryout areas) and remain on or adjacent to the concrete walkways.

TRYOUT FEE

Only the $25 non-refundable tryout fee is due at the time of registration.

During the online tryout registration process you will see the annual player registration fee. This player registration fee will NOT be charged to your credit card and is not due until your child is selected and rostered to a team. Note, the Academy ages (U08-U10) selections will be listed as one Academy team. Team assignments for U08-U10 will occur in the Fall.

No player will be able to participate in tryouts until the online registration process is completed and the $25 non-refundable tryout fee is paid.

New Age Group Formation Changes

Starting with the 2026-27 season, U.S. Youth Soccer, AYSO, and US Club Soccer will implement a new age group formation cycle. This cycle will run from August 1 to July 31, aligning soccer age groups with school grades. This adjustment is designed to create a more cohesive and supportive environment for youth soccer players across the country.

Age Group Placement

Players will be placed in age groups based on their birth dates within the new cycle. For example, a child born between August 1, 2016 and July 31, 2017, will be categorized as U10 for the 2026-27 season. Visit our Age Group Finder page for more information.

Permission to Try Out for Older Age Group

Players may be allowed to play up an age group based on skill and development but cannot play down. Players entering high school can petition to play up an age group. Decisions on playing an age group up will be made by the programs DOCs. There is no guarantee a player will be moved up an age group. It will be highly encouraged that all players below high school grades remain in the new age group classification based on class school year. Players seeking to play up need permission from the appropriate DOC. Please notify the appropriate “DOC” if this is your intent before the first tryout date. Note that restrictions and state guidelines for playing up an age group must be considered.

Trying Out for Specific Team or Specific Coach Only

If your child is only trying out for a specific team (i.e., the first team only (Girls ECNL/Boys White), the second/third team only (Girls RL/NPL, Boys Navy/Red)) please notify the appropriate “DOC” before the first tryout day. Only do so if your child will not take a roster spot on any other Team Boca team. If your child is not selected for the specific desired team, your child’s name will be omitted from the selections posted on the Team Boca website, you will not be charged any other fees, and you will be removed from Team Boca. Please note, there is absolutely no guarantee of a certain coach. Your child is trying for Team Boca, not trying out for a specific coach.

AFTER TRYOUTS and REGISTRATION FEE CHARGE

Girls Selections

Tryout selections for the GU13-GU19 will be posted to the Team Boca website no later than 11:59 pm on May 9, 2026. For all other age groups, the selections will be posted no later than 11:59 pm, May 18, 2026. PLAYERS SELECTED will be listed by name on our website. All players listed will have earned a roster spot.

ONCE SELECTED, the credit card on file will be charged on May 10, 2026 for GU13-GU19, and on May 19, 2026 for all other age groups, for the payment plan amount selected during the registration process. No refunds will be issued after this date and the player is responsible for the full Player Registration Fee.

Boys Selections

Tryout selections for the BU09-BU14 will be posted to the Team Boca website no later than 11:59 pm on May 11, 2026. For all other age groups, the selections will be posted no later than 11:59 pm, May 18, 2026. PLAYERS SELECTED will be listed by name on our website. All players listed will have earned a roster spot.

ONCE SELECTED, the credit card on file will be charged on May 12, 2026, for BU09- BU14, and on May 19, 2026, for all other age groups, for the payment plan amount selected during the registration process. No refunds will be issued after this date, and the player is responsible for the full Player Registration Fee. 

Removal From Selections Request – Selection Deadline

At any time prior to and up to the conclusion of the tryout period, a player can choose to be removed from the selection process. To request a player to be removed from the selection process, an email notification must be sent to Keith Fries at  before the selection deadlines below:

Boy’s Removal Request before 11:59pm, May 9, 2026 for BU09-BU14, and 11:59pm, May 16, 2026 for all other boys age groups

Girls Removal Request before 11:59pm, May 7, 2026 for GU13-GU19, and 11:59pm, May 16, 2026 for all other girls age groups

The return email from Club Director Keith Fries will serve as the official receipt of the player’s canceled registration. If no removal request email is received prior to the deadlines above and the player’s name is listed on the website as a selected player, the credit card on file will be charged on the payment plan amount and date selected during the registration process.

The one-time $25 Tryout Fee remains non-refundable.

Player Not Selected

If a player is NOT SELECTED (his/her name will not appear on the Team Boca website under the posted selections), the player’s Team Boca registration will be canceled in full. The one-time $25 tryout fee is non-refundable.

Financial Assistance

Scholarship/Financial Aid is available for player’s demonstrating financial need. To receive information on financial assistance and the required application, select the financial assistance box during the online registration process.
