Keith Fries

Club Director, BU18/19 White

Keith has been with the club for 20+ years and brings a wealth of administrative and coaching experience. He has a Business degree from the University of Florida, a Master’s Degree in Sports Administration and an advanced degree in Education Leadership (Ed.S). While earning his business degree in Gainesville, he created the North Florida Express Soccer Club and helped guide the BU17-BU19 teams to three straight FYSA State Final 4s, winning the State Final in 1991. In 2021, he led the Team Boca U19/U20 team to the USYS Regional Championship and participated in the USYS National Championships. In 1992, he worked at Tennessee Tech University in their athletics program in charge of marketing and game day operations while completing his course work. In 1993 he was appointed the Directror of Marketing and Fundraising for the FAU Athletics program. In 1995 he was promoted to the division of University Advancement and the FAU Foundation where he served in roles as the Director of the Annual Giving Program, the Director of the Alumni Association, and as an Assistant Vice President until his retirement in 2020. Keith was a significant part of the team that brought football to FAU and was instrumental in creating the Owl Fund in support of intercollegiate athletics.

Keith has been involved in the Florida’s soccer community since he was four, starting as a youth player in South Miami. He was a two-time all-state high school player and a two-time All-Dade county player. He later played college soccer at Campbell University and spent four seasons competing in the former Florida State Semi-Pro Soccer League. His coaching career includes roles at Eastside High School in Gainesville, FAU High, and currently as the varsity boys’ coach at Olympic Heights. He has coached over 50 players that have went on to play in college and currently has former players that serve as both high school and club coaches within the State.  Collectively, Keith has been a player and coach for over 50+ years.

As Team Boca approaches their 50th Anniversary as a travel program, Keith aims to keep the club moving forward as one of the State’s longstanding legacy clubs. Working closely with staff and an Advisory Committee composed of former Club Director Bill D’Addio, and club pioneers Bob Rollins and Art Turpel, Keith will work to enhance the “youth soccer experience” for our players and families.

Bill D'Addio

Club Advisory Board Member, ECNL Program Advisor/Coordinator and College Recruiting Coordinator

Bill D’Addio returns to Team Boca as a member of the Club’s Advisory Board and will serve as our ECNL Program Advisor/Coordinator and college recruiting coordinator. Bill’s experience will help provide consultation and guidance for our girl’s ECNL program, working directly with our ECNL Technical Director and serving as a conduit for our players seeking to play in college. He will be a member of our college recruiting team that will help parent’s and players navigate playing at the next level for all of our club players.

Bill continues to serve as a Pro Scout and Player Agent of which he has multiple alliances with Pro Intermediaries (Agents) who represent players from multiple Pro leagues & Clubs around the Globe, including Serie A (Italy) English Premier League (England), Bundesliga (Germany), La Liga (Spain), and the Eredivisie (Netherlands), with additional alliances routinely being added. Coach Bill also serves as an Independant Assignment Scout for various Professional teams in the Italian Lega Serie A and Major League Soccer (MLS), as well as College Life Italia and Soccer Management Institute, both located in Rome, Italy.

Under his previous direction/position as our Club Director, Team Boca has had over 350 players move on to play college soccer, 54 teams reach the State Cup Final Four, 23 State Champions, 4 Regional Champions, and 2 National Champions, as well as numerous state, regional, and national tournament championships. In 2021, Team Boca’s four teams qualifying for the National Championship was the most teams by any one club in the country, as well as being the only club in the country to win two National Championships in 2021. Team Boca’s Girls U13 team is also the only U13 team from the State of Florida, Boys or Girls, to ever win a National Championship. In 2011 Team Boca had an unprecedented 41 girls recruited and committed to play college soccer in one season. Bill has coached several teams over his tenure with Team Boca, including coaching the Girls U18 90/91 team which he led to the State Cup Championship Finals, Girls U18 Navy 91/92 which he led to the Division 1 President’s Cup State Championship, and the Girls ’91/’92 White team which he coached to three straight State Championship Finals. Bill was an AAU All-State (Connecticut), All New England, and Second Team All-American High School player, but unfortunately career ending injuries forced an early retirement from the college game. Coach Bill is a former Trainer at the Southern Connecticut Soccer Academy as well as one of the original Trainers for the Delray Beach Rage Soccer Program. Bill also served as the head girls varsity coach at Pope John Paul II High School in Boca Raton for six years and was selected Coach of the Year in 2005/06 by both the Boca News and the Palm Beach County Athletic Conference, as well as in his final year (2010) by the Palm Beach Post. During his tenure at Pope he led the Eagles to the Regional tournament every year. Coach Bill holds USSF and NSCAA National Coaching Licenses.

Besides coaching youth players over the past 40 plus years, Bill D’Addio, Ph.D., brings a very diverse and professional resume to the Team Boca coaching staff and administration. Bill was a Nutritionist for many years licensed by the Florida Board of Medicine, a Strength & Conditioning Coach for the Port Charlotte Rangers Professional Baseball Team (Texas Rangers), and the team Nutritionist for the Florida Beach Dogs Professional Basketball team of the CBA. Bill is certified by the American College of Sports Medicine as a Fitness Instructor and Fitness Director. He is also a member of the National Academy of Sports Medicine as well as a Board Certified member of The American Association of Drugless Practitioners. Bill was also the original owner and developer of Palm Beach Gym & Fitness Center chain, which he sold in 2004. Bill now serves as a nationally known author & consultant to the health & fitness industry. Bill was also the Contributing Expert/Author of a long-standing weekly nutrition column for 50 Plus Lifestyles, a nationally syndicated publication. He has worked as a Sports, Pediatric, and Adolescent Nutritionist and is licensed as a Certified Guardian Ad-Litem Child Advocate for the 15th Judicial Circuit Court in Palm Beach County where he represents children in both the Family and Criminal Court. Bill is also a Certified Group Counseling Facilitator. He has received numerous awards of merit and distinction; most notably he is a recipient of the prestigious President’s Council on Physical Fitness Award of Merit from President Bill Clinton for his many years of contribution to the health & fitness industry. He was also selected to both the Oxford and Cambridge Who’s Who Registry of Outstanding Professionals.

Bill presently serves as the soccer representative on the FAU Athletic Owl Club Board of Directors. Bill has also formerly served on the Board of Directors for the Palm Beach County Sports Commission, the Florida United Girls Soccer Assoc., and the Pope John Paul II High School Board of Directors & Advisory Board.

Art Turpel

Club Advisory Board Member

With all his knowledge, experience, and familiarity with youth soccer, Team Boca is fortunate to have Art with the club. His wealth of experience, knowledge, and commitment to youth soccer not only in Boca, but statewide will lend valuable guidance to the program.

Art has been involved with Boca Raton Youth Soccer/SABR/Team Boca since 1982. He has served as a both a coach and board member. His other roles included serving as the Director of Youth Recreational Player Development and previously as the Director of Team Boca. He has served on the board of Broward Youth Soccer, Florida United Girls Soccer, and the Florida Youth Soccer Association and has served is such roles as the Chairman of the FYSA Coaching committee, the Vice President of Recreation, and the Vice President of Player & Coaching Development. Art was elected to the Florida Youth Soccer Association Hall of Fame in 2004.

His vast experience as being an ambassador for youth soccer found him working with the United States Soccer Federation during the 1994 World Cup and serving on the 1996 South Florida Olympic Committee. Art was also the Director of Game Day Operations of the MLS Miami Fusion in 1998-1999.

His coaching experience is also vast, including being a coach of Team Boca in the 1980’s and 1990’s and returning to teach and mentor young players with Team Boca since 2021. Art’s coaching credentials include a USSF National C License and a NSCAA (USC) National Diploma.

A decorated veteran and ambassador for soccer in the State of Florida for over 50+ years, Art is one of the pioneers of Team Boca and will serve as an integral resource as a member of the Team Boca Advisory Committee.

Michael Araujo

Director of Coaching, BU17 White

Our Boys Director of Coaching brings a very formidable resume to Team Boca. Raised in South Africa and of Portuguese descent, Coach Michael was selected to the South African Youth National Team where he was Captain at the age of 16. In 1987, Michael was a midfielder on the College of Boca Raton (now Lynn University) National Championship team, where he was named as the Offensive MVP at the National Tournament. He was also selected to the NAIA All-American team.

After college Coach Michael went on to play Professional Soccer for 12 years in Africa, Europe, and North America. He played professionally for 3 seasons with the Cincinnati Silverbacks (NPSL) and Sacramento Knights (CISL) indoor professional soccer teams. In 1999, he won the South African Super Bowl final with Supersport United F.C. and was chosen as the MVP of the Final. He also helped take Supersport United F.C. to the 2000 Semi-Final of The African Continents ‘Cup Winners Cup’ Trophy. In Europe, Coach Michael qualified for the early qualifying rounds of the Champions League in 1994 with Glenavon F.C of the Northern Ireland Premier League. In North America, he played for the Atlanta Ruckus (A league, before MLS) where he helped take the team to the Final of the 1995 A League Championship against the Seattle Sounders. In Canada, Coach Michael played for the Montreal Supra (CSL) where we he was Voted MVP for the month of July and got selected to the 1990 Canadian All-Star Team.

Coach Michael’s Boys U18 team won the 2008 FYSA State Championship and led them to the Semi Finals of the 2008 USYS Southern Regionals. In 2011, Coach Michael’s Boys U18’s won the 2011 FYSA State Championship and advanced to the 2011 USYS Southern Regionals. Coach Michael’s Boys U18’s won the 2013 FYSA State Championship and added another visit to the USYS Southern Regional Championship and a visit to the 2013 USYS National Championship Tournament. In 2014, his U19 boys repeated as the 2014 FYSA State Champions. In 2023 and 2024, Coach Michael led the BU14 and BU15 teams to the USYS National Championship Tournament and led the BU13s to the 2024 USYS National Championship Tournament.

In addition to youth soccer, Coach Michael guided the Team Boca Alumni Team to the 2010 Florida Elite Soccer League Championship and the 2011 Florida Gold Coast League Championship. He was also Coach/Player for over 30 2006 Palm Beach FC, the 2012 Slainte FC, and the 2018 Warriors FC which all Florida State Cup Champions. He also coached at Lynn University (NCAA Div 2) with John Rootes at the helm, winning the Sunshine Conference Title in 2008. During his tenure at Team Boca, over 90 players have gone on to college soccer programs and 20+ players have gone on to play Pro or Semi Pro in Europe and USA. His coaching tree is growing with several form players moving on to coaching positions at the college, youth, and pro level.

Coach Michael was a Staff Coach and Trainer with Team Boca since 1992 prior to becoming the Boys Director of Coaching. He holds a USSF National Youth and National B License, as well as a NSCAA Advanced National License and Director of Coaching Diploma. He holds an Associates degree in Business Administration from Lynn University and continued his studies in Exercise Science at Florida Atlantic University.

Tyler Cornelio

Director Boys Youth Development (U08-U12), BU15 White, BU11 White

Coach Tyler joined Team Boca in 2012. He played his high school ball at T.C. Williams in Virginia and graduated from Randolph-Macon College where he played his college ball, earning the Randolph-Macon Men’s Soccer Picarde Award in 2011-2012. As a player, his club team won the Virginia State Cup in 2007-08.

Coach Tyler began coaching during his college days as a coach with the London Connection Soccer in 2008 and served as a soccer counselor at the Annandale Boys and Girls Club. In 2011, he was on staff as a soccer coach with SportsQuest in Virginia. In 2012, he served as a coach with the No.1 Soccer Camps at the Landon School and Blue Ridge School.

Coach Tyler also serves as the Boys Varsity Head Coach at St. John Paul II High School. Coach Tyler holds a USSF Coaching license.

David Hort

BU12 Red

Coach David brings international experience to our coaching staff. A former 2nd Division professional player in Israel, David began his coaching career in New York/New Jersey in the 1990’s with Ramapo Valley Soccer Club of the MAPS league where his teams placed first in the MAPS two years in a row. After spending 3 years with the club, David also coached at World Class FC before moving on to coach at SUNY Rockland Community College for a season, leading the team to the Mid-Hudson Conference semi-finals. Coach David has a USSF Coaching License

Eliseo Reina

BU17 Navy, BU13 White

Coach Eliseo is in his tenth season with Team Boca. Coach Eliseo was born in El Salvador. He played semi-professional soccer at age 16 before moving to the U.S. He played in the NYC Youth League for 1 year. Then He moved to Florida and played with the Gold Coast Soccer Development League for 4 years.

Coach Eliseo coached with the Fort Lauderdale FC from 2008-2015. Coach Eliseo holds USSF licenses.

Joey Worthen

BU14 Navy

Coach Joey brings his vast coaching experience to Team Boca for a fourth year.

Coach Joey serves as the Florida Atlantic University’s head men’s soccer coach and just completed his 6th season at he helm. He played professional soccer for nine seasons and played collegiality for the University of South Carolina Gamecocks from 1998-2001 and represented the United States in international play on the U-20 team.

Coach Joey earned both his Bachelor of Science degree and his Master of Science degree in sports management from the University of South Carolina, and currently holds a United States Soccer Federation National B coaching license.

Diego Guerrero-Guillen

A former Team Boca player, Coach Diego returns for his fouth season as a coach.

Coach Diego was a member of the 2021 BU19/20 team that won the 2021 USYS Regional Championship and competed in the USYS National Championship. He played high school locally at Boca Raton Community High School where he was a member of the State Championship team, and is currently a member of the FAU Club team.

Coach Diego is also serving as an assistant coach with the FAU Women’s Soccer team. He is currently enrolled at FAU pursuing a degree in Business.

Coach Zach returns for his third season with Team Boca. He played his youth ball in New York for the Westchester Flames and New York Soccer Club. He played is college ball at Ithaca College, and had a stint playing Semi Professionally in Nashville TN.

Coach Zach was a grassroots coach for Armada FC in Nashville Tennessee and a trainer for TOCA Nashville where he worked 1 on 1 with players from age 7 to professional players on Nashville SC of MLS. 

Zach has a Grassroots License and is pursuing a masters degree in Exercise Science and Health Promotion.

Coach Renato has been with Team Boca since 2022. Growing up playing youth and high school soccer locally in the area, Coach Renato discovered he had a passion for the game and the desire to coach. He works to enhance player development, teach the fundamentals, and strives to help athletes build confidence both on and off the field. 

Coach Renato earned his Bachelor’s degree in Communications from the University of Central Florida. Communication is at the core of his coaching philosophy and style. He believes that strong communication, teamwork, and a positive environment are key to long-term growth and success. He is currently employed as a government account executive with Carahsoft Technology Corp.
