Clap it up for Coach Patrick Baker and the SABR – Team Boca 2008/07Gs who ended a successful weekend at the ECNL RL – Florida Winter games at the Seminole Soccer Complex in Sanford with a 3-0 victory over CESA Liberty ECNL RL G08/07 (SC) on Sunday.
The defending ECNL RL 2008/07G National Champions got a brace from Morgan Tyrakoski, another from Loal Hathorne, and a shutout from Mia Castana as they closed out the weekend with a 3-0 record. They also defeated NLSA Surf ECNL RL G2007/08 (NJ), 3-1, and Celtic FC ECNL RL G07/08 (NTX), 6-1.
“It was a great event for our girls,” Baker said. “We played well and scored many good goals. I am proud of the girls, especially being in the middle of their high school seasons.”
Coach Oscar Narvaez and the SABR – Team Boca 2009G finished the weekend with a 6-3 victory over Reign FC ECNL RL G09 (VA) on Sunday at Sylvan Lake Park.
Taylor Sherman scored twice, while Mia Ciezak, Catalina Sola Rivera, Erin Cabrera-Hock, and Lily Trier also found the back of the net. They played both the Rockford Raptors ECNL RL G09 (IL) Lobos Rush ECNL RL G09 (TN) earlier.
“I thought we played really well,” Narvaez said. “Overall, the three results didn’t go our way, but most of the juniors, if not all, received offers or genuine interest from schools they were interested in before the tournament. Given the crazy high school schedule, they managed to put together some great performances this weekend, and we’re blessed to have had the opportunity to play in front of so many college coaches who were genuinely interested in our group.”

Congratulations to SABR – Team Boca players Natalie Bruno (2008) and Mia Ciezak (2009) for playing for Team West in the Continental Tire ECNL Regional League Selection Game on Friday night at the Seminole Soccer Complex in Sanford.
Bruno scored a goal as Team West secured a 3-1 victory and was named Player of the Game.
The Continental Tire ECNL National and Regional League Selection Games are an extension of the league's player identification platform, providing additional competition and development opportunities for top players throughout the league. Routinely played on the first night of competition at ECNL National Events wherein recruitable age groups are in attendance, the Continental Tire ECNL National and Regional League Selection Games combine recommended players to form two teams who compete in an "all-star" game.
