Coaching Opportunities

Qualified Coaches are encouraged to contact Bill D'Addio at Bill@teamboca.com concerning coaching opportunities at Team Boca. Candidates should posses a USSF or NSCAA license as well as meet the following criteria:

  • Possess a passion for, and an in depth knowledge of, the game and have the ability to share that with youth players

  • Enthusiastically enjoy working with and motivating youth players

  • Have the ability to help all Team Boca players reach their full playing potential

  • Be able to effectively communicate with Team Boca players, parents, and college coaches

  • Actively represent and market the Team Boca and its players, ensuring maximum and correct exposure to college coaches and professional scouts.

  • Be willing to travel locally, nationally and internationally with Team Boca teams.

  • Be open to learning more about the game through attendance at professional coaching courses both nationally and internationally. (Team Boca has funds to support this)

  • Be able to commit many hours each week, both on and off the field, to achieving the above criteria

I, the head coach/assistant coach, agree that I will abide by the rules of the USYSA, FYSA, SABR, and its affiliated organizations and sponsors. Recognizing the possibility of physical injury associated with soccer and in consideration by the USYSA,. I hereby release, discharge and/or otherwise indemnify the USYSA, its affiliated organizations and sponsors, their employees and associated personnel, including the owners of fields and facilities utilized for the Programs, against any claim by or on behalf myself a result of the my participation in the Programs and/or being transported to or from the same, which transportation I hereby authorize.

Coaches Code of Conduct

Safety

  • Your first responsibility is the health and safety of all participants.
  • It is recommended that you become certified in basic first aid.
  • Be prepared to handle first aid situations as well as medical emergencies at all practices and games, both home and away.
  • Know and understand the Laws of the Game.
  • Inspect equipment and field conditions for safety reasons.
  • Utilize proper teaching and instructing of players regarding safe techniques and methods of play.
  • Implement appropriate training programs to make sure players are fit for practice and competition.
  • Supervise and control your players so as to avoid injury situations.

Player Development

  • Develop the player's appreciation of the game.
  • Keep winning and losing in proper perspective.
  • Be sensitive to each player's developmental needs.
  • Educate the players to the technical, tactical, physical and psychological demands of the game.
  • Players need to have fun and receive feedback.
  • Practice should be conducted in the spirit of enjoyment and learning.
  • Strive to help each player reach their full potential and be prepared to move to the next level.

Ethics

  • Strive to maintain integrity within our sport.
  • Know and follow all the rules and policies set forth by clubs, leagues, state and national associations.
  • Work in the spirit of cooperation to provide the players with maximum opportunity to develop.
  • Be a positive role model
  • Set the standard for sportsmanship.
  • Keep sport in proper perspective.
  • "Just say no" to drugs.
  • Coaches should continue their own soccer education.

Additional

  • Attend all practices and games.
  • Follow guidelines established by the Director of Coaching.
  • Coaches are encouraged to obtain the highest level of training possible.
  • Coaches are responsible for tournament and state cup participation.
  • Coaches should be familiar with the other teams in your age group, maintain appropriate communication with other head coaches within the age group.
  • Attend coaches' meetings.
  • Be organized.
