Director of Coaching

Coach Bill returns as our Club Director, as well as the Executive Director of our WPSL franchise, the Team Boca Blast, which he was instrumental in bringing to Team Boca and served as General Manager for the first four seasons in the league. Coach Bill also now serves as an Assignment Scout for various Professional teams in the Italian Lega Serie A and Major League Soccer (MLS). Under his direction, Team Boca has had over 300 players move on to play college soccer, 42 teams reach the State Cup Final Four, 17 State Championship teams, and numerous state, regional, and national tournament championships. In 2011 Team Boca had an unprecedented 41 girls recruited and committed to play college soccer in one season. Bill has coached several teams over his tenure with Team Boca, including coaching the Girls U18 90/91 team which he led to the State Cup Championship Finals, Girls U18 Navy 91/92 which he led to the Division 1 President’s Cup State Championship, and the Girls ’91/’92 White team which he coached to three straight State Championship Finals. 

Bill was an AAU All-State (Connecticut), All New England, and Second Team All-American High School player, but unfortunately career ending injuries forced an early retirement from the college game. Coach Bill is a former Trainer at the Southern Connecticut Soccer Academy as well as one of the original Trainers for the Delray Beach Rage Soccer Program. Bill also served as the head girls varsity coach at Pope John Paul II High School in Boca Raton for six years and was selected Coach of the Year in 2005/06 by both the Boca News and the Palm Beach County Athletic Conference, as well as in his final year (2010) by the Palm Beach Post. During his tenure at Pope he led the Eagles to the Regional tournament every year. Coach Bill holds a USSF and NSCAA National Coaching License, as well as the National Youth Coaching License.

Besides coaching youth players over the past 30 plus years, Bill D’Addio, Ph.D., brings a very diverse and professional resume to the Team Boca coaching staff and administration. Bill was a Nutritionist for many years licensed by the Florida Board of Medicine, a Strength & Conditioning Coach for the Port Charlotte Rangers Professional Baseball Team (Texas Rangers), and the team Nutritionist for the Florida Beach Dogs Professional Basketball team of the CBA. Bill is certified by the American College of Sports Medicine as a Fitness Instructor and Fitness Director. He is also a member of the National Academy of Sports Medicine as well as a Board Certified member of The American Association of Drugless Practitioners. Bill was also the original owner and developer of Palm Beach Gym & Fitness Center chain, which he sold in 2004. Bill now serves as a nationally known author & consultant to the health & fitness industry. Bill was also the Contributing Expert/Author of a long standing weekly nutrition column for 50 Plus Lifestyles, a nationally syndicated publication. He has worked as a Sports, Pediatric, and Adolescent Nutritionist and is licensed as a Certified Guardian Ad-Litem Child Advocate for the 15th Judicial Circuit Court in Palm Beach County where he represents children in both the Family and Criminal Court. Bill is also a Certified Group Counseling Facilitator. He has received numerous awards of merit and distinction; most notably he is a recipient of the prestigious President’s Council on Physical Fitness Award of Merit from President Bill Clinton for his many years of contribution to the health & fitness industry. He was also selected to both the Oxford and Cambridge Who’s Who Registry of Outstanding Professionals.

Coach Bill presently serves as the soccer representative on the FAU Athletic Owl Club Board of Directors. Bill has also formerly served on the Board of Directors for the Palm Beach County Sports Commission, the Florida United Girls Soccer Assoc., and the Pope John Paul II High School Board of Directors & Advisory Board.

Michael Araujo

Director of Coaching

Our Boys Director of Coaching, Michael Araujo, brings a very formidable resume to Team Boca. Raised in South Africa, Michael was a member of the South African Youth National Team where he was their Captain at age 16.  In 1987 Michael was a member of the College of Boca Raton (now Lynn Univ.) National Championship Team, where he was also selected to the NAIA All-American Team.  After college he went on to play Professional Soccer for twelve years in the U.S., Africa, Europe, Canada, and N. Ireland, including three seasons with the Cincinnati Silverbacks and Sacramento Kicks indoor professional soccer teams. He was selected to the CSL All-Star team and was chosen as the MVP of the South African Super Bowl in 1999.

In 2008 he lead our Boys U18 team to win the State Championship and led them to the Semi Finals of the Southern Regionals.  In 2011, Coach Michael led our Boys U18’s (92/93) to win the State Championship and once again advancing to the Southern Regionals. In 2013, Michael coached of our Boys U18’s to a State title, a Regional Championship and a visit to the USYS National Championship Tournament. In 2014, his U19 boy’s repeated as State Champions.

Michael was a Staff Coach and Trainer with team Boca since 1992 prior to becoming Boys Director of Coaching.  He holds a USSF National Youth and National B License, as well as a NSCAA Advanced National License and Director of Coaching diploma.

Keith Fries

BU16 White - Boys Representative

Coach Keith played his club ball with Cutler Ridge and Kendall in Miami. He played his High School ball at Miami Southridge where he received All-Dade consideration in all three years, being named to the All-Dade County and All-State teams both his junior and senior seasons. He also played three years of High School football as kicker and punter, earning All-County mention. He played a season of Division 1 college soccer at Campbell University before playing 4 seasons in the Florida State Semi-Pro league.

Coach Keith began his coaching career in 1985 in Gainesville, Florida where he and his brother created the North Florida Express Soccer Club. His U17/18 teams went to three straight final four appearances, including winning a state title in 1991. He served as assistant coach at Eastside High School in Gainesville for four seasons from 1987-91, during that time Eastside won three Regional Championships. He is currently the FAU High girls varsity coach.

Coach Keith earned a BA in Business from the University of Florida, a MS in Sports Administration from the United States Sports Academy and a Ed.S. in Education Leadership from Florida Atlantic University. He retired from Florida Atlantic University after 26 years where he served as an Assistant Vice President. Coach Keith holds a USSF and NSCAA Coaching license.
