Staff Spotlight:
Ed Velasco
This season
Coach Ed switches to our girls program and will coach our Girls U13 Navy
team after
doing a great job coaching with us for many years on our boy's side.
Originally
from
Lima, Peru, Coach Ed moved to the US as a boy and immediately
excelled in the beautiful game which then took him to England and
Scotland to play in their youth club program. Ed later moved
backed to Boca where he played for local Pope John Paul II High
School.
From their Ed went on to play at Greensboro College, in Greensboro,
N.C. After graduating, Ed moved backed to Boca and continued
his career playing in the highly competitive Gold Coast League.
An excellent
coach and trainer, Ed is also highly regarded as a personal trainer
and will also be doing individual skills sessions with our players
throughout the season.
