Spotlight: Jerry Matlak
Coach
Jerry returns to the Team Boca sidelines to coach our Girls U12
White team as well as Asst. Coach for our Girls U16 White. Prior to
coming to Team Boca, he was the Club President for the
Coral Springs Storm for 10 years. Coach Jerry has been involved
working administratively for both the Olympic Games and the World
Cup games held at the Orange Bowl, as well as coordinating game day
operations for the Miami Fusion and the US Men’s and Women’s
National Teams. Jerry has been involved with the game of soccer for
over 20 years. His former teams have won three State Championships
and have gone on to the Southern Regional Tournament making it to
the Final Four twice.
Coach Jerry also
currently serves as the Vice President of Coaching and Player
Development for the Florida Youth Soccer Assoc. (FYSA). His
responsibilities include Recreational Soccer, The Olympic
Development Program (ODP), Tops Soccer and The Soccer Start Program.
Jerry is also a USSF and FHSAA certified referee and holds a USSF
National Coaching License.
