Staff Spotlight: Chris Gnehm
Coach Chris returns to Team Boca as our Girls Goal
Keeper Coach as well as the coach of our Girls U13 White team. Chris
started his playing career in High School earning All State Honors
in 1992. He later went on to star at Averett
University
where he was a four year starter and three year captain. Chris
still holds the Virginia Intercollegiate Soccer Assoc. and
University records for saves in a season, 213, and career saves of
860.
Coach Chris began his coaching career in 1995 at the
Soccer
Plus
Goalkeeper School
in Wethersfield, Ct. He
later went on to coach at Duke University Mens Soccer Camp, Univ.
of Colorado Womens Soccer Camp, Averett University in Virginia,
Monmouth University in New Jersey, Gardener-Webb University in
N.C., Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, and Ferrum College in
Virginia before coming to Lynn
University and now Florida Atlantic University where he is
presently their Asst. Coach and Goal Keeper Coach.
Chris also previously served as Head Varsity Boys
Coach at Olympic Heights High School here in Boca Raton, where he
led his team to the District Title in 2004. Chris presently
serves as an FYSA Staff ODP Coach.
