Coach Bill returns as our Club Director &  Girls College Recruitment Director, as well as the Executive Director of our WPSL franchise, the Team Boca Blast, which he was instrumental in bringing to Team Boca and served as General Manager for the first four seasons in the league.  Coach Bill also now serves as an Assignment Scout for various Professional teams in the Italian Lega Serie A and Major League Soccer (MLS).  Under his direction, Team Boca has had over 500 players move on to play college soccer, 42 teams reach the State Cup Final Four, 16 State Championship teams, and numerous state, regional, and national tournament championships.  In 2011 Team Boca had an unprecedented 41 girls recruited and committed to play college soccer in one season.   Bill has coached several teams over his tenure with Team Boca, including coaching the Girls U18 90/91 team which he led to the State Cup Championship Finals,  Girls U18 Navy 91/92 which he led to the Division 1 President's Cup State Championship, and the Girls '91/'92 White team which he coached to three straight State Championship Finals.  Bill was an AAU All-State (Connecticut), All New England, and Second Team All-American High School player, but unfortunately career ending injuries forced an early retirement from the college game.  Coach Bill is a former Trainer at the Southern Connecticut Soccer Academy as well as one of the original Trainers for the Delray Beach Rage Soccer Program.  Bill also served as the head girls varsity coach at Pope John Paul II High School in Boca Raton for six years and was selected Coach of the Year in 2005/06 by both the Boca News and the Palm Beach County Athletic Conference, as well as in his final year (2010) by the Palm Beach Post. During his tenure at Pope he led the Eagles to the Regional tournament every year.  Coach Bill holds a USSF and NSCAA National Coaching License, as well as the National Youth Coaching License.

Besides coaching youth players over the past 30 plus years, Bill D’Addio, Ph.D., brings a very diverse and professional resume to the Team Boca coaching staff and administration. Bill was a Nutritionist for many years licensed by the Florida Board of Medicine, a Strength & Conditioning Coach for the Port Charlotte Rangers Professional Baseball Team (Texas Rangers), and the team Nutritionist for the Florida Beach Dogs Professional Basketball team of the CBA.  Bill is certified by the American College of Sports Medicine as a Fitness Instructor and Fitness Director.  He is also a member of the National Academy of Sports Medicine as well as a Board Certified member of The American Association of Drugless Practitioners.  Bill was also the original owner and developer of Palm Beach Gym & Fitness Center chain, which he sold in 2004.   Bill now serves as a nationally known author & consultant to the health & fitness industry.  Bill was also the Contributing Expert/Author of a long standing weekly nutrition column for 50 Plus Lifestyles, a nationally syndicated publication.  He has worked as a Sports, Pediatric, and Adolescent Nutritionist and is licensed as a Certified Guardian Ad-Litem Child Advocate for the 15th Judicial Circuit Court in Palm Beach County where he represents children in both the Family and Criminal Court.  Bill is also a Certified Group Counseling Facilitator.  He has received numerous awards of merit and distinction; most notably he is a recipient of the prestigious President’s Council on Physical Fitness Award of Merit from President Bill Clinton for his many years of contribution to the health & fitness industry.  He was also selected to both the Oxford and Cambridge Who’s Who Registry of Outstanding Professionals.

Coach Bill presently serves as the soccer representative on the FAU Athletic Owl Club Board of Directors, as well as on the Advisory Board for the Florida United Girls Soccer Assoc.  Bill also formerly served on the Palm Beach County Sports Commission Board of Directors, as well as the Pope John Paul II High School Board of Directors & Advisory Board.

Michael Araujo

Boys Director of Coaching

Our Boys Director of Coaching, Michael Araujo, brings a very formidable resume to Team Boca.  Raised in South Africa, Michael was a member of the South African Youth National Team where he was their Captain at age 16.  In 1987 Michael was a member of the College of Boca Raton (now Lynn Univ.) National Championship Team, where he was also selected to the NAIA All-American Team.  After college he went on to play Professional Soccer for twelve years in the U.S., Africa, Europe, Canada, and N. Ireland, including three seasons with the Cincinnati Silverbacks and Sacramento Kicks indoor professional soccer teams. He was selected to the CSL All-Star team and was chosen as the MVP of the South African Super Bowl in 1999. 

In 2008 he lead our Boys U18 team to win the State Championship and led them to the Semi Finals of the Southern Regionals.  In 2011, Coach Michael led our Boys U18's (92/93) to win the State Championship and once again advancing to the Southern Regionals. In 2013, Michael coached of our Boys U18's to a State title, a Regional Championship and a visit to the USYS National Championship Tournament. In 2014, his U19 boy's repeated as State Champions.

Michael was a Staff Coach and Trainer with team Boca since 1992 prior to becoming Boys Director of Coaching.  He holds a USSF National Youth and National B License, as well as a NSCAA Advanced National License and Director of Coaching diploma.

A member of the Team Boca staff since 1999 and another one of our coaches with local roots, Coach Jason began his soccer career playing for Spanish River High School here in Boca Raton where he led the Sharks to a State Championship in 1997.  He was selected as an All Area player in both 1997 and 1998, and earned first-team All-State honors in 1998.  He had brief college terms at Life University and FAU. 

Coach Jason began his coaching career with the St. Andrews High School girls’ team in 2001 and led the Scots to a District and Regional Championship in 2001, 2002, and 2003.  He was chosen as Coach of the Year in 2002. He has also served as the Head Boys Coach at Boca Raton High School and Spanish River High School.

Coach Jason presently serves as one of our Boys Staff Trainers.  In 2007, he led the Team Boca U18's to a State Title, a Regional Division State Director’s Cup Championship, and a National Director’s Cup Finalist.

Coach Jason holds a USSF Coaching license.

Coach Keith played his club ball with Cutler Ridge and Kendall in Miami.  He played his High School ball at Miami Southridge where he received All-Dade consideration in all three years, being named to the All-Dade County and All-State teams and earning MVP honors both his junior and senior seasons.  He also played three years of High School football as kicker and punter, earning All-County mention.  He played a season of Division 1 college soccer at Campbell University before playing 4 seasons in the Florida State Semi-Pro league.

Coach Keith began his coaching career in 1985 in Gainesville, Florida where he and his brother created the North Florida Express Soccer Club. His U17/18 teams went to three straight final four appearances, including winning a state title in 1991. He served as assistant coach at Eastside High School in Gainesville for four seasons from 1987-91, during that time Eastside won three Regional Championships.

Coach Keith has been with Team Boca since 2006.  He is a graduate of the University of Florida, the United States Sports Academy and Florida Atlantic University. He has worked at Florida Atlantic University since 1995.

Coach Keith holds a USSF and NSCAA Coaching license.

David Hort

Coach David brings international experience to our coaching staff.  A former 2nd Division professional player in Israel, David began his coaching career in New York/New Jersey in the 1990’s with Ramapo Soccer Club of the MAPS league where his teams placed first in the MAPS two years in a row.  After spending 3 years with the club, David also coached at World Class FC before moving on to coach at SUNY Rockland Community College for a season, leading the team to the Mid-Hudson Conference semi-finals.

David has been an instructed in soccer camps in the Czech Republic and in France as he traveled and supported his son’s professional soccer career, who’s stops included FC Sparta Prague (Czech Republic) and Strasbourg (France).

Coach David is in his fourth year with Team Boca and has USSF coaching license as well as an Israel coaching license.

Caoch David was born in B'Quilla Colombia. He grew up playing soccer in Miami where he excelled as a forward at Miami Springs Senior High School.  In 1988, he was the team’s top scorer and helped lead the team to the 1988 GMAC title.  He played his club ball for the Miami Springs Showtime and was a key member of the 1989 U19 FYSA State Championship team.

Coach David attended Miami Dade North Community College on a soccer scholarship and earned MVP honors on the team that won the 1991 FIU Invitational.  His Junior College team also won the 1991 NJCAA SE Regional Championship and placed 3rd in the NJCAA National Tournament.  He continued his college career at FAU and graduated from FAU with a BS in International Business and Marketing.

Another one of our coaches with local roots, Coach Jim played his youth soccer in Miami.  He played his High School ball at Miami Southridge before playing 4 seasons of Division 1 college soccer at Northeast Louisiana University, now the University of Louisiana Monroe.  After playing college ball, Coach Jim returned to South Florida and played a few seasons in the Florida State Semi-pro league.

Coach Jim spent nine season as Head Women's Coach at Pompano Beach High School and is now at Cardinal Gibbons High School.  Coach Jim is in his fifth season with Team Boca.  Coach Jim is a graduate of the University of Louisiana Monroe and is currently the President of  M.J. Simpson Corporation in Pompano Beach.

Coach Tyler joined Team Boca in 2012.  He played his high school ball at T.C. Williams in Virginia and graduated from Randolph-Macon College where he played his college ball, earning the Randolph-Macon Men’s Soccer Picarde Award in 2011-2012. As a player, his club team won the Virginia State Cup in 2007-08.

Coach Tyler began coaching during his college days as a coach with the London Connection Soccer in 2008 and served as a soccer counselor at the Annandale Boys and Girls Club. In 2011, he was on staff as a soccer coach with SportsQuest in Virginia. In 2012, he served as a coach with the No.1 Soccer Camps at the Landon School and Blue Ridge School.

Coach Jorge was born in San Jose, Costa Rica and started playing soccer at a young age.  As a youth player, he joined Team Boca at the age of 12, winning the FYSA State Championship in 2011 and participated in the US Regional tournament.  In 2012, his Team Boca team once again reached the State Cup Final Four.  Coach Jorge immediately joined the coaching staff in 2013 to share his experience with others.  Coach Jorge joined Team Boca in 2013.  Coach Jorge is currenlty attending Palm Beach State College.Coach Jorge holds a USSF license.

Coach Ferny rejoined Team Boca in 2013 having previously coach with the club from 2001-2004. He served as Head Boys’ Varsity Soccer Coach at American Heritage Boca/Delray from 2002-2005, being named Palm Beach County Coach of the Year in  2004 & 2005 and directing the team to the State Class 2A Semi-Finals in 2005 and the State Class 2A Finals in 2004.  His tenure at American Heritage also included 3 District Championships and 2 Regional Championships.

Coach Ferny played college ball at both Coastal Carolina (1989) and FAU (1990-92) and played in the Gold Coast Men’s Soccer League from 1993-2001 and in the USISL in 1993. 

Currently Ferny is a Physical Education Specialist at the Nadel Center for Early Childhood Education in Boca Raton and owner and president of the Futbol United Soccer Academy in Boca Raton.  He also can be found during the summer serving as a camp director for FAU’s “Goal to Goal” Summer Soccer Camps.

He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Nova Southeastern University.

Coach Kevin joined Team Boca in 2013.  Coach Kevin played his club and high school soccer in Guernsey, winning inter island school honors with the Boy's Grammer and local club honors at the age of 16 with Vale Rec FC and at the age of 18 with Northeners AC. Coach Kevin also has competed at various levels in rugby, golf and cricket.

Coach Kevin started coaching youth soccer in Italy and coached 3 years with Polisportiva Opicina, Trieste. He is currently an active participant in adult soccer playing and managing various adult teams and most recently celebrated winning and adult State championship. Coach Kevin worked for a major European financial services company for 15 years, running trading and investment management operations in New York, Dublin, Trieste Italy and Guernsey before moving to Florida to start his own business. He is a CFA charterholder.  Coach Kevin holds a USSF Coaching License.

Anthony joined the Team Boca staff in 2017. He is a three-year letterwinner (2009, 2012-13) as a member of the Fighting Knights. He is currently the Assistant Coach at Lynn University. In 2014, he became the first coach in program history to win a national title as both a full-time coach and student-athlete. The former striker championed the Fighting Knights to the NCAA Division II National Championship in his first year on the bench and two-years after helping Lynn win the 2012 national title. Patrolling the sidelines as an assistant is nothing new for Desperito as to the Bayport, N.Y., native served as a student-assistant for the 2011 NCAA Tournament women’s soccer program. While assisting then head coach Chip Dutchik, Desperito helped oversee the development of Sunshine State Conference Player and Offensive Player of the Year Melissa Ortiz. Desperito holds three degrees from Lynn University, earning a Bachelor’s of Science in Sports & Recreation Management in 2012 and a Masters in Business Administration with an emphasis in Financial Valuation and Investment Management in 2013 and Masters in Science for Criminal Justice in 2014.
